5th Grade Closing Information
Although we are in a period of social distancing, we still wanted to have a special series of events for our fifth graders who are leaving us. Please celebrate your fifth grade child with us by participating in the following events. Click on the picture below to view the 5th grade closing video. The link will go live at 10:00 am. Lawn Sign Recognition-
We are having special graduation lawn signs made for each of the 5th grade students. Please make sure to provide us with your correct address so we know where to put your sign. Virtual Ceremony-
We will have a virtual ceremony that will be posted on Facebook and YouTube the morning of Wednesday, June 10th at 10:00 am. In preparation for the virtual ceremony we are asking for a few items from families… |
- Please send 2-3 pictures of your child that could be included in our slideshow. These could be current pictures or school-aged pictures from years past.

Car Parade-
Liberty staff and teachers will be parading around the neighborhood on Wednesday, June 10th at 11:00 (after the virtual ceremony) to cheer on your 5th grader. Tuesdays And Thursdays From 3:30-4:30 Zoom Live Sessions- Join Ms. Espedido, and Ms. Walker for live Zoom sessions each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30. Daily Math Checklist
Please make sure you are completing these math tasks daily. This will help you to continue to develop your math skills, increase your fluency, and help you with problem solving.

- Compete Fact Fluency- you can practice fact fluency each day by going on XtraMath.org daily.
- Curriculum Based Independent Work- complete 30 minutes of daily activity as you work towards completing at least four lessons a week on Zearn.
- Math Enrichment- once you finish all your Zearn activities and exercises on Xtra Math, spend some time each day working through problems on Prodigy.

Additional Learning Resources
Complete Five Day Work Packet- this is the complete work packet for the entire week. It includes mathematics and reading activities that can be completed throughout the week. You can also access physical education and art activities from the home learning resources page. You can either print out the entire packet or pick up a printed packet from one of the eighteen food sites. 5th Grade Mathematics Intervention Packet- this is an additional intervention packet containing grade level mathematics problems. Please provide this resource to your child so that they can continue to practice math during the closure period. |
