High Academic Performance
For the past seven years, Liberty has consistently been in the top fifteen percent of school in Baltimore in terms of performance on standardized exams.  We are currently the tenth highest performing school in Baltimore City out of 150 schools.  The school has maintained a consistent track record of high academic achievement.  Liberty is the third highest performing of the extreme poverty schools (over 90% of kids receiving free and reduced meals) over the course of the past four years that the PARCC assessment has been administered. ​​

Advanced Technology Program
We have robust technology infrastructure including a one-to-one computing program, a fabrication/maker space, and a virtual reality lab.  At Liberty, every child from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade has a technology device assigned to them which they use on a daily basis.  We utilize a combination of iPads and Chromebooks to read iBooks, conduct research, or learn through educational apps.  With over 500 devices, students learn to evaluate and analyze information, rather than simply consuming information. Our nationally recognized Idea Lab provides tools for students to design, create with circuits, computer code, 3D print, program robotics and drones, and learn the mindset of a maker. ​

After School Activities
We have after and before care activities available for all Liberty students.  Children are welcome to participate in an optional recess period every day from 8:00-8:25am.  The afternoons are filled with rich enrichment activities offered through Child First Authority, our community partner organization.  After school programming runs from 3:30-6:30pm four days a week. Students receive dinner and participate in one of the dozen enrichment activities, including soccer, choir, dance, girls on the run, photography, computer coding, acting, piano, fashion design, and many more.
